Last October 02, 2015, my sister (youngest) joined and picked by her teacher to be the Representative of Grade 7 Sampaguita section. And proudly to say that she was also awarded as the Top 3 of the class. They were ask to picked in a box which element will be their representing and she got the "Water Element". Therefore, she must wear something blue, something that is related to the element. My mom bought her a blue casual long gown- a muslim-inspire dress- still the modesty is there because it was a long sleeve long gown. My mom don't want exposure of the body. It came out well. Here are some photos of her with her blue long gown:

The next ramp was the "wearing of school uniform". For me, in this portioned she has the most good-looking one it is just because her hair is tied up and she looks neat with the uniform, unlike others. (make-up is not-required in school but since its a semi-pageant they really had the make-up) But the thing that destroys her performance was when the host asked them individually and this was the question to her: "What is your message to your fellow student?:
She got very nervous and can't even speak well. The host said "You can answer in Tagalog or English". It took her time to answer and she was always looking up for her friends but her friends didn't shout just to make her feel good in the situation she was, she want them to shoutout her name in order to increase her confidence but then they don't. A bad thing about her friends. After a minute, she answered this:
"Education is the key of success... Kaya mag-aral tayo ng mabuti. Thank you!"
Though its simple and short, we still got the meaning. I am still proud of her at least she did her best to answer such questions. In fact, this was her very first time to join such pageant or beauty & brain contest that's why she got very nervous and it is also her first time in front of the crowd. She always wanted to be alone, to be with just her friends alone. That's her type. :)

The last portion of this semi-pageant was wearing the recycled dress. Her dress was fully effort by Mom and a little help from me. It is my used gown. It is a combination of unused keyboard's keys, CDs, wrapping plastics and papers. We made it with all our heart, with full of efforts. From head to toe: Everything was recycled. From her dress to her high heels (her high heels was one of our unused and damaged heels already)

Sad to say, with all of these efforts we did, she did, she didn't make it to the top 3 or even winning
some minor awards though there are only Six (6) of them in the pageant. I can say that some of the contestant were not able answer the questions correctly, what I mean they have different answer from the question (the host said "there's no correct or wrong answers in this Q&A portion) Okay! I consider it!
Mom was fully supported to her. She guides her, taught her, arranging her hair, reapply her make-ups, and everything. Every second mom was always there for her.
Okay sis, its not maybe your time to shine by now, don't lose hope! Practice your confidence and you'll be able to be one of the Beauty Queens in the planet who wears modest dress. (Tsing!)]
PS: The most laughtrip about this was when my baby came to the center with her stick ball that Mordoha used on the first ramp. And she came into the front of the Judges and judges just liked her. They even took her a picture and told her she was very cute! (And that's a fact!) Since this pageant was not that much "bonggahin pageant" still don't mind the interruption of my baby. :D
