How I lose weight? 2020 - Abby

Assalamualaykum..


Today, I just wanna share what I did to lose weight of more or less 10kgs in just a month without starving too much and without too much exercises. 

Back story:
I am not fat before marriage and having my first baby. It happened when I got pregnant with my second. I eat a lot. I don't care how it turns me. Because in my mindset, once I give birth and my baby start breastfeeding, my body will return back to its sexy form ( char!) But then, I was wrong. My baby got MAS and he was in the hospital for a week. I got home and he stayed there for a week for his antibiotics. I visited everyday but the visiting hours were limited. My baby became fond of bottle feeding and doesnt want my milk anymore, started of me getting bigger and bigger. I was 70 kgs during that time and still didn't care. After few months, we decided that I will take contraception and that is Depo Provera, an inject contraceptives. I was taking it for a year and a half. One of the side effect was obesity and I was still 70 kgs. I still didn't care. Fast forward, 2019, on my internship days in the hospital because of tiring duty, I was binge eating once I got home and then sleeping, my everyday routine. I was 68 kgs by this time, I knew it becase we got weigh scale in the hospitals. After the internship, that's the only time I begun to be conscious of my body by looking at the mirror, the pictures, and at my husband (haha!). 

I tried everything. I searched online how to lose weight fast. The Keto Diet, Intermittent Fasting, Low carbs, Exercises and many more. I followed some but in my dirty own way (haha!) I also joined groups of people who are going on a diet, on a weight loss to get me motivate and be inspired. I also saved pictures of weight loss challenge on google, there's a lot of them. This is how I do:

1. More water
I drink 2 liters and more of water daily. I drink a glass or two of water before meal so that we feel full even we eat less.

2. Less rice or NO RICE at all!
At first, I was practicing how to eat lesser rice because really, I can't live without rice in my plate. I ate a cup of rice only then half until I can manage not to eat anymore. But still, sometimes, I cheat. 

3. No alcoholic/sodas, processed foods, sweets!
Since I am not that fond of eating and drinking sweets and sodas, I get  through it easily. But the processed foods like fries, hotdogs, it was something hard. I eat it in moderation (haha!) But better not to. 

4. Planking!
This is the one and only exercise I do. A minute or 2 every morning and before I sleep. You can search the different ways of planks on the internet. As what I read, planking covers the whole body, I mean has a great effect to the whole body, it strenghten our muscles (search for the benefits of it nalang po! Hehe). 

5. Drink black coffee or native coffee.
I don't know if it just me, everytime I drink black or native coffee, I get sleepy and also it makes me poop. Just put a bit of sugar only or better yet, honey.
